Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s hollow unity initiative terming it as
mere political stunt. War said that Kashmiris who are laying down
their lives for the attainment of right to self-determination cannot
be fooled by such gimmicks. “More than sixty youths have been martyred
by police and paramilitary for raising their voice against Indian
occupation and nobody would be allowed to play with their blood,” said
War adding “I think Mirwaiz hasn’t done enough homework or else it is
some foreign idea which Mirwaiz wants to experiment.” War said that
unity shouldn’t be restricted to three people offering Eid namaaz.
Srinagar: Four more youth were shot dead on Monday in security force firing at North Kashmir's Pahallan Pattan taking the death toll to 69 since the unrest began on June 11.
Killing took place in Pahallan Pattan when security forces opened fire at protesters in a village on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway in Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.

Srinagar: Three militants were killed in a fierce gun battle in Kupwara districts of north Kashmir, official sources told on Monday.
They said four different battalions of army including 1 Naga, 6 para, 6 and 21 Rashtriya Rifles launched a joint cordon-and-search operation following specific information about the presence of militants in Hafrada, a forest area near Line of the Control in frontier district previous night.
Jammu: Joint team of security forces Sunday killed one of the top commanders of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in a fierce gunfight in dense forest area of Bhattidhar in Mendhar tehsil of frontier Poonch district.
According to Agence India Press, "one senior divisional commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad identified as Omar Khitab of Pakistan was killed by the security forces while one trooper identified as Sajjan Kumar received bullet injuries during the gun battle".
